Current Events (impact-focused discussion)
We look at how abuse is reported in the news and the effect that coverage has on survivors.
Personal Experience (non-graphic sharing)
Participants may share relevant experiences. No graphic detail. No cross-talk. No pressure to speak.
Expressive Writing
Short, guided writing to process your experience after our discussion.
Structured Reflection
We identify what is actually happening beneath the reaction:
Cause(s) of emotional response
Recognizing patterns
Where you feel stuck or unclear
Action and Direction
How to influence systems (language, responses, boundaries, speaking out, filing complaints, seeking legal counsel) and effect change
What to address at the familial or interpersonal level, and how
What you can focus on individually for support and stability
